Well well, when it comes to dining with the family one has to keep in mind all the choices . Coming from a Vegetarian Family , there are variations. Let me break it down :
No eggs, but yes to onion & garlic
No eggs, no onion & garlic
Yes eggs, Yes onion & garlic
Phew! That’s some combination alright. Thus entry of the savior – Cream Centre! Now this place has a lot to offer. It’s extensive menu caters Indian, Italian and Chinese Combos for all the above types of vegetarians which is quite something in the Dubai food scene.
Location : It’s located behind Lamcy Plaza , on Oud Metha. Parking might be a problem on weekends. I simply visited on a weekday and it was no problem !
Experience : We reserved a table in advance, but had to wait for a good 10-15 mins until the reserved table got free. Though this wasn’t the staffs fault as the occupants were simply chattering away. I must add that their staff were super courteous and did apologize for the delay. The ambience was simple yet classy of sorts.. perfect for a family night out !
Let’s get to the food already..
We ordered :
- Italian Baked Sizzler
A rich combination of parmesan cream baby potatoes, spaghetti, macaroni, steamed onions, peas, capsicum, cauliflower, spinach and potato chips ! The American corn patty on top really was a show stealer. It was the most amazing item in the whole platter. The combination was really nice and the sauce was delicious and creamy. Could have been a bit more spicier but in general italian dishes aren’t all that spicy..so it did justice to the name.
2. Penne Arrabiata Double Baked
Lemme just say one thing : THE GRAVY!! Omg, this is the best gravy I’ve tried out so far. Really. This pasta like stole my heart. I would come back here just to satisfy my pasta cravings! For all you veggies out there…TRY THIS ONE OUT! I could actually taste the cream in cream centre alright. Rich in flavour as well as the portion. Damn. I’m craving it now..
3. Paneer Makhani
Go for an Indian family dinner night and not order this ? Hell no! So yea. Got the jain kind of this. When I asked my grandma how she liked it she gave me a thumbs up ! So I’m guessing that’s it for this one!
4. Corn Capsicum Masala
The masala in the Corn Capsicum Masala needs a mention here ! It was thick and bought so many flavours to the mouth. The right amount of spicy and the right amount of thickness. This was ‘just right’ .
Okay, so that is all. I want to do something new and not just post reviews and instagram pictures.
So here it is!
That’s all for my first post. Stay tuned for more !
